Are your sessions co-ed?

All HSB Academy sessions are co-educational. We open our sessions to both boys and girls, as our main focus is on individual skill building and basketball development, not just playing games.

How is HSB ACADEMY different?

HSB Academy offers superior training and world-class instruction for a fraction of the price of similar programs. We instill the HSB spirit (Hard Work, Sacrifice, and Believe) in all of our young athletes, encouraging them not only to pursue their own dreams and ambitions, but also to serve and give back to their local communities. We strive to equip every participant with the power, confidence, and knowledge to make a lasting impact both on and off the court.

Do I have to be a member of Axiom or Crunch to participate with HSB Academy?

No, at this time HSB Academy sessions are open to the public and no membership at any of the respective facilities is required to participate.

What types of sessions do you offer?

GROUP TRAINING SESSIONS
Group Training Sessions are designed to challenge young athletes at all levels and abilities. Offering a comprehensive curriculum of fundamental drills, intense situational training, and organized group competition, each session is structured to push players like never before.

PRIVATE WORKOUTS
For parents and players seeking more one-on-one individualized attention and personalized development workouts.

GAME SESSIONS
Game Sessions are available to elementary, middle, and high school players looking for more playing experience. These sessions meet every Wednesday in Meridian and focus solely on scrimmaging in a structured environment.

ELITE SESSIONS
Elite Sessions are for advanced high school and middle school players. Please note THESE SESSIONS ARE BY INVITATION ONLY and will meet on a seasonal basis. Any questions, please contact Coach Quinney at 208-901-0779.

What if I’m just a beginner?

HSB Academy is committed to training athletes of all ages and athletic abilities. Our staff is trained to accommodate all skill levels to ensure that every participant leaves each training session with a sense of accomplishment.

Do you offer trial sessions?

Yes! All participants are entitled to a free trial session in one of our group classes before purchasing a package. To take advantage of this offer, please create an account through our registration system, choose the class you would like to attend, and select the free trial option during checkout.

AT THE ACADEMY

Can I Watch My Child?

Parents, family members and friends, are more than welcome to stay and watch each workout session as spectators only. Please, save all questions/ comments for staff (or your child) until the end of each session. We ask that all younger children, not participating in the session, be kept out of the gym, as this can distract the focus of players and coaches.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off policies?

HSB Academy sessions will begin promptly at their scheduled time. Academy staff will be available 15 minutes prior to the start of each workout and will leave immediately upon its conclusion. We strongly encourage and request that all parents arrive for drop-off and pick-up in a timely manner. Multiple violations will result in additional fees or even dismissal from the Academy.

What do I need to bring?

Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable athletic clothing as well as basketball appropriate footwear. Although participants may bring water and sports drinks, please leave all personal basketballs at home. We have plenty of basketballs for everyone in attendance and will not be responsible for lost or stolen personal items.

How many days a week should I train?

At HSB Academy we recommend that every participant trains with our staff at least twice a week to ensure results.

What type of payments do you accept?

HSB Academy accepts most major credit cards, cash, or check. If you are unable to register online, payments can be sent to:

Can I just show up?

With very limited time available between sessions we ask that all new and current participants please register online before showing up. Liability waivers and scheduling can be found through our website or via the mobile app.

How do I register my child for HSB Academy?

Is there a registration deadline?

There is no specific registration deadline for any of our sessions; yet, we do encourage participants to register as soon as possible. Academy sessions are limited to the first 16 reservations (unless otherwise posted) — **no exceptions.

Are discounts or scholarships available?

Discounts and scholarships will be available to those in need. To seek financial aid, please fill out our online scholarship request form.

What is your refund / cancellation policy?

Cancellations of any kind and for any reason will be refunded in an Academy credit. Credit is valid for any HSB Academy session offered within one year of the date of original purchase and is transferable to any family member or friend. For Private Workouts, cancellations must be given 24 hours in advance of each session or a “no show” fee will apply.

Want to earn $15 towards your next purchase?

Refer a friend and receive a $15 credit when they register for any HSB Academy session. Referral must be for enrollment and participation in an HSB Academy Platinum, Gold, or Silver Package to apply. All eligible referrals will be applied directly to player accounts.

Do Academy Sessions expire?

Yes! All Academy packages are good for one year from the date of purchase.

Do you offer discounts for families?

HSB Academy offers discounts of $15 per registration for families registering two or more participants. Use Promo Code FD18 during registration to receive your savings.

How are HSB Academy sessions priced?

HSB Academy sessions are priced on an hourly basis. Academy sessions range in price from roughly $12.50 an hour for group training all the way to $72 for a one-on-one private workout.

How does HSB Academy select their coaching staff?

HSB Academy’s staff is comprised of former NBA, NBADL, CBA, International, and NCAA coaches and players. Selected from all over the country and the world, our coaches provide every participant with the highest level of education possible, through their wealth of knowledge. Their commitment to the game and to this program, allows players to leave with a truly unique experience.

Is this a “meet and greet” program?

Many basketball programs use the power of high profile names to drive registrations. These so-called “meet and greet” programs are organized autograph sessions where highlighted speakers or guests spend limited time (if any), at the actual event. At HSB Academy we do things differently. Our All-Star staff of collegiate and professional coaches and players spends endless time and effort working one-on-one with every player in attendance.

What is the staff to player ratio?

HSB Academy prides itself on its commitment to quality. To ensure all campers receive the most from their experience, we try to provide one coach for every eight players.
